How do I get to Arena Torquay?Arena Torquay, 39-41 Torwood Street, Torquay, TQ1 1DZ. Arena Torquay is located near Torquay Harbour and two buildings down from Hollywood Bowl. If you are travelling by bus, there are many that will stop right outside Arena Torquay. Check bus times and services here If you are travelling by train the closest station is Torquay Train Station. A taxi journey from the station is 5 minutes and if you are walking around 15 minutes.

Is there parking available?There is street parking surrounding the venue itself which becomes free after 6pm and there are approximately 850 parking spaces across various car parks within 5 minutes walk of us.

Do you accept cash at the venue?No - we are an entirely cashless premises.

I've left something in the venue, what can I do?If you have lost items or left them in the cloakroom please email the venue directly at info@arenatorquay.com. Please include a description of the missing item, date of the show and your contact details. A member of the Arena Torquay team will get in touch. Arena Torquay stores lost property for a maximum of three months and after this period they are donated to local charity shops. Valuable items may be held for a longer period and items such as passports and other forms of identification are handed to the relevant authorities if they are not collected.

How do I book a VIP table or the VIP Area?Arena Torquay offers VIP tables and a VIP area but these are event specific - so when purchasing a ticket for any of our event's then make sure to check through all the options to see what upgrades are available! Entry to the venueIn accordance with our licensing conditions Arena Torquay has the right to refuse admission without providing a reason. Identification will be required for entry to the venue. Please see event details as specific events will have different guidelines and restrictions. You can always call us for further information. Arena Torquay also has the rights to remove people from the venue at any point for any reason. If you are ejected from the venue and would like to dispute the action then please email us and we will investigate the issue. Part of the condition of entry is that you agree to a search on arrival. Arena Torquay operates a zero tolerance drugs policy. Anyone found with illegal drugs will be banned from the venue and reported to the police. There will be additional measures on top of our search procedures that may be enacted when you visit Arena Torquay, this may include drug detection methods. For your protection and for the protection of our staff, all searches are conducted under full HD CCTV with voice recording.

What if I get injured?Arena Torquay has a number of first aid staff and a room dedicated to first aid. Any injury will be looked at by our medically trained security staff and appropriate action to aid you will be taken. Our first aid room is located in our cloak room in the pre-show bar. Please ask a member of staff who will escort you to its location in the event of an injury.

Is the venue available for hire?Yes! we are available for private & corporate hire and are always looking to work with national & local promotors so please email us at info@arenatorquay.com to arrange a meeting.

Can I bring a camera?No professional cameras (with large or detachable lenses), video cameras or tape recorders are permitted in the venue. Should you be found to have these on arrival you will be asked to either take them back to somewhere safe or be asked to deposit them in the cloakroom. Small compact cameras are allowed unless specified on the day of the show. For the satisfaction of other customer’s iPads and/or tablet devices are not permitted to photograph or film during any performances. Customers who persist may be asked to leave the venue.

Do you have a cloak room?If you are bringing a bag bigger than a handbag and items such as bike helmets, backpacks, suitcases with you then we request that these are left in the cloakroom. Please be aware that no items will be given out from the cloakroom without the matching ticket being presented. If you have lost your ticket you will be asked to wait until the end of the event to collect your belongings. If you are in a rush and do not want to wait, you can email info@arenatorquay.com during the week to arrange a time to come and collect your belongings.

Can I bring in food & drink?No food (including sweets and chewing gum) or drinks can be brought into Arena Torquay. Should you require any items for medical reasons please make this known to the security on entry.

ID PolicyPlease ensure you bring ID to the venue. No ID = No Entry. Accepted forms of ID are: Driver’s License - full or provisional Valid Passport Citizenship Card with the PASS hologram and SIA logo. Any ID found to be fraudulent will be confiscated. It will either be handed over to the police or sent back to the issuing authority

Challenge 25All customers who look under the age of 25 will be required to provide ID when purchasing alcohol. If you are under 18 and attempt to purchase alcohol then you will committing a criminal offence. You may be ejected without a refund or held until a responsible adult can come and collect you. Only acceptable forms of proof age are accepted. These are listed in the ID policy.

Drugs PolicyArena Torquay takes a zero tolerance towards drugs. In conjunction with Devon & Cornwall Police we also provide a drugs amnesty box. The amnesty box is situated at the entrance to the venue. Customers are able to deposit any illegal substances before they enter the searching zone and remain anonymous.

What if I have an issue on the night?If you have a complaint about the venue or an event then please speak to a member of security or the management team. Complaints after an event should be sent in writing (via email) directly to info@arenatorquay.com

I have contacted the venue, how long does it take to respond?We try and respond to all emails and messages on the same day but please allow up to 48 hours for a response.

How loud is it?Please be aware that there will be high sound levels during shows and patrons may be subject to continuous sound levels that may cause potential damage to hearing. Earplugs are available on the bar should they be required. The venue operates a neighbour friendly policy when leaving the venue please make as little noise as possible.

Do you use special effects?All shows will contain strobe lighting, smoke and other special effects. Should you have any concerns please contact the venue prior to arrival or speak to a member of staff on the night.

I need to bring medication to the venueWe discourage bringing medication to the venue however we do understand that for some people this is a necessity. Below are our guidelines for entering Arena Torquay with medicines. - A sealed package of prescribed medication of a small quantity is permitted providing that the customer’s name is on the label. A prescription for the medication should be brought with you if possible. - Any person with items that are deemed unidentifiable / not in the original packaging or of a large quantity will be asked to speak with the medics on the night. They will assess the situation and the items may be removed until after the show and held in the medical room where they can be accessed if required. - Please be aware that security or the medic may request evidence on entry. You may also be requested to speak with the duty manager. - A person who intends to bring into a venue medical sharps will be asked to discuss their usage with the duty manager and the venue medical staff in a private area. This is to ensure that their condition requires immediate access to these items and to also ensure the customer is aware of how to locate and access an area whereby they can administer the required treatment without any concern.

Is there seating?There is occasionally limited unreserved seating at Arena Torquay during standing events depending on the capacity of the event in question. We do host events which are entirely seated as well. Please contact us in advance to discuss the event you will be attending or if the information is not already in the show description on our website.

What time does Arena Torquay open?For Live shows the venue usually opens from 6pm to 12am with the lounge bar then remaining open until 01:30am playing recorded music. All times listed are subject to change depending on the type of event.

Smoking PolicyIn line with the law Arena Torquay is a non-smoking venue. Smoking is not permitted in any area of the venue. A smoking area will be provided on all events. The location for this is at the front of the venue outside our live lounge bar. Alternatively, speak to a member of staff. The smoking area will generally be open shortly after the event opens until shortly before the event finishes. Those found to be smoking inside the venue will be ejected without a refund.
